Aggression Pays Off For Rapisardo

Carmelo Rapisardo has just catapulted himself towards the top of the chip counts after putting the maximum pressure possible on his opponent, putting him all in.

Andrey Veselov got things underway with a raise to 325 from under the gun, Erik Greger Bernth called two to his left but when the action folded to Rapisardo on the button, he made it 1,000 to play. Fillippo Candio called from the big blind, Veselov then folded and Bernth called.

Flop: [5hJh2d] – Candio lead out with a bet of 1,500 and both of his opponents called.

Turn: [Qc] – Candio now checked, as did Bernth but now Rapisardo came out firing to the tune of 2,500. Candio wasted no time in folding but Bernth check-raised to 8,200. Rapisardo rocked back in his chair before asking his opponent for a count and as soon as he received his answer, he instantly moved all in. Almost as quickly, Bernth folded.
