Brent Hanks Eliminated

Sep 18, 2011

With around 12,000 already in the pot and the board reading [9c8h7s], Brent Hanks checks from the small blind and the player in middle position moves all-in for 17,000 or so.

Hanks tanks for a couple of minutes before tossing in two 5,000 chips.

"It’s over 15,000," tablemate Will Failla tells Hanks, clarifying the amount of the other player’s bet.

That extra 5,000 means that it is Hanks who is the player at risk, not his opponent.  Hanks is also behind, holding [QsQc] to the other player’s [KcKs].

The turn brings the [Kd] and the river the [7c] and Hanks bids his table farewell with a parting, "See you guys tomorrow!"
