Angelo Miele min-raises to 4,000 from middle position, Jason Mercier calls in the small blind, and the player in the big blind calls as well.
The flop comes [Ac6s5s] and action checks to Miele, who bets 6,000. Both Mercier and the player in the big blind call. The turn brings the [Qd] and Mercier bets out 18,500. The player in the big blind folds and Miele calls.
The river is the [4h] and Mercier bets 40,000. Miele is unsure what to do and quietly talks to himself under his breaht, mentioning the possibility of several straights.
Miele calls and Mercier shows [AdQh] for top two pair.
"Nice one Jason," Miele says. "Very good Jason." He keeps the compliments going before eventually asking Mercier, "Would you have called if I had gone all in?"
"Yeah," Mercier says. "I think so."
"Really? Even with four different straights out there?"
Mercier hasn’t quite won back all the chips he lost from Miele earlier today, but this pot is putting him back up to near where his stack was at the start of the day.
Jason Mercier – 170,000
Angelo Miele – 445,000
