Patrik Vestlin raises from the cutoff and Ronan Gilligan peels in the big blind. The flop is [9s] [7s] [3s] and Vestlin is holding [As] [Qc] for the nut flush draw and Gilligan is holding [Js] [9d] for top pair. Gilligan pulls out the check-raise making it 450,000 to play and Vestlin moves all-in for 1,750,000. Gilligan has a really tough decision on his hands but eventually he makes the call and we have a flip.
Turn: [Tc]
It looks like a spade but its a club!
River: [8c]
That’s it! The short stack is now the chip leader! Can Ronan Gilligan do this for Ireland! One thing for sure is the title will not be going to Sweden because Patrik Vestlin is out in fourth.
Ronan Gilligan ~ 4,852,000
Dave Shallow ~ 4,259,000
Chaz Chattha ~ 1,029,000
