Vanessa Selbst Likes a Challenge

Some players have been playing at the Commerce for more than a month and several of the LAPC prelim success stories are seated together at the same table.

Brian Brubaker is no stranger to LAPC success, having won multiple prelims last year.  He picked up another win this year in the LAPC All-In Or Fold Event.  Jordan Young won one of the bigger prelims of the series, taking down the $1,070 No Limit Hold’em Event for over $40,000 as well as a seat in the Main Event.

The biggest prelim winner of the group is Vanessa Selbst though. Less than twelve hours ago, she picked up $140,000 by defeating a tough field in the $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event.

McLean Karr, who also final tabled the $5,000 event is seated at the table as well, as are Alex Venovski, California pro Brandon Crawford, and Michael Rocco.

It certainly isn’t the easiest table draw, but Selbst doesn’t seem fazed:
