Deja Vu! Aces vs. Queens Do the Time Warp Again (Beasley Doubles Thru Ruffino)

In an earlier post (titled "Jeff Forrest Takes the Chip Lead"), we describe a hand where Jeff Forrest was all in preflop with A-A against Chris Hunichen’s Q-Q. Hunichen flopped a set of queens to take the lead, but Forrest caught runner-runner to win the pot with an ace-high flush and double up.

The same thing just happened at another table.

This time, it was Mike Beasley who was all in preflop with A-A, against Larry Ruffino’s Q-Q. Ruffino flopped a set of queens to take the lead, but Beasley caught runner-runner to win the pot with an ace-high flush and double up.

Mike Beasley  –  125,000
Larry Ruffino  –  60,000

While the earlier hand was between two big stacks, creating a new chipleader, this hand was a battle of the short stacks. Regardless of the stack sizes, it is still an amazing coincidence.
