After a flop of [AsQh8h], Chris Trapani moves all in from the button for 436,000, and Shooting Star Mike Matusow calls from the big blind with [AcKh] for top pair, top kicker. But Trapani turns over [Ad8d] for the lead with two pair.
The turn card pairs the board with the [Qs], and Matusow claps his hands and stands up as he takes the lead — Trapani’s two pair is counterfeited.
The river card is the [4c], and Mike Matusow wins the pot with two pair, aces and queens, with a king kicker.
Chris Trapani, son of the late Bay 101 owner Marko Trapani, ends his Cinderella run in the event his father created back in the 1990s. Trapani receives a nice ovation from the crowd for his 12th-place finish.
Mike Matusow – 1,100,000 (91 BBs)
