Jonas Entin Loses With Fours Full vs. Fives Full

Mar 8, 2010

A player limps from middle position for 200, Shooting Star Daniel Negreanu calls from the small blind, and Jonas Entin checks his option in the big blind. The flop comes [Qd8c4h], and all three players check. The turn card is the [5c], the middle-position player checks, Negreanu bets 450, Entin raises to 2,150, and the first player reraises to 7,150.

Negreanu quickly folds with a laugh, and Entin thinks for nearly 30 seconds before he calls.

The river card pairs the board with the [8h], and the middle-position player moves all in for 17,100. Entin calls with [4c4s] for a full house, fours full of eights, but his opponent turns over [5d5h] for a slightly higher full house, fives full of eights. Entin is knocked all the way down to just 3,600 in chips.

Jonas Entin  –  3,600
Daniel Negreanu  –  42,150
