$1,100 PLO/NLH: Connor Stuewe Stays Alive With the Shortest Chip Stack

After doubling up Stephen Ma, Connor Stuewe was down to just four big blinds on the button. He folds his way to the big blind, and after paying the 50K ante, he gets it all in for 170,000 with Diamond ADiamond 2 against Paul Roy’s Spade AHeart 4.

The board comes Diamond KSpade 10Club 5Heart ASpade J, and since neither kicker plays, it’s a chopped pot.

The next hand, Stuewe folds his small blind.

The next hand, Stuewe raises from the button to 165,000, leaving himself 5,000 behind, and Martin Kozlov calls from the big blind.

Both players check to the river on a board of Diamond QClub 8Spade 7Club 2Diamond K, and Kozlov shows Spade JClub 4 for jack high. But Stuewe turns over Heart AHeart 3 to win the pot with ace high.

Shortly after this, Vincent Toullier was knocked out in 11th place, moving Stuewe one spot away from a pay jump.
