Day 1G began with 820 entries, more than twice as much as any of the previous starting flights, which maxed out at 338. The final 12% of the field (98 players) were to be paid, while the final 5% (41 players) were to advance to Day 2.
Curiously, there were double-eliminations at both breaking points, meaning that 99 players cashed and only 40 players advanced to Day 2.
The Day 1G chipleader is Richard Munro, who finished with 952,000 — just a single ante chip ahead of Francis Rusnak (951,000). The full list of Day 1G survivors and their chip counts can be found on the Chip Counts tab.
Day 1H begins tomorrow (Friday) at 12:00 noon PT, and once again WPT Live Updates will be providing live coverage.
