A Battle of the Steves

Steven Merrifield raises from under the gun and both Lee Markholt and Matt Stout call in position.  Steve Brecher defends from the big blind and the four players see a flop of [KsQc3h].  Brecher checks, Merrifield bets 45,000 and both Stout and Markholt fold.  Brecher then check raises all-in for 212,000. 

Merrifield goes in the tank for over five minutes.  Eventually Lee Markholt politely calls the clock on Merrifield and he apologizes to Markholt and the table for taking so long.

Shortly after that, Merrifield throws his hand away and explains to the table that he really was thinking about calling since he just couldn’t make any sense of how the hand went down.
