After four starting days and two further tournament days, the 2021 WPTDS Sochi Main Event is down to the final eight contenders out of a field of 413 entries. They have locked up a decent portion of the ₽42,432,670 (~$576,815) prize pool and all eyes will be set on the winner’s trophy ahead of the final showdown.
Maksim Skripkin returns as the commanding chip leader with 4,255,000, which represents more than one-third of the chips in play. Yuriy Salikaevled the field after Day 2 when the money bubble had burst and sits in second place with 2,400,000. Artsiom Prostak (1,555,000), Artem Vezhenkov (1,320,000), and Vitaliy Pankov (1,140,000) have seven-figure stack sizes to their name while Vitaliy Li, Mustafa Biz, and Narek Arsenyan will be the short stacks.

The final table is slated to kick off at noon local time at the stunning Casino Sochi with 37 minutes remaining at blinds of 20,000/40,000 and a big blind ante of 40,000.
