Alex Venovski Loses Some Ground

Alex Venovski is one of a number of players taking another shot at the Lucky Hearts Poker Open title here on Day 1B after busting Day 1A. Like yesterday, Venovski has had little trouble building chips early in the action, though he recently hit a minor setback.

Venovski and two other players see a flop of [AcQd2s].  The player in the big blind checks, Venovski bets 600 from under the gun, and a player in middle position calls.  The player in the big blind folds.

The turn is the [5s] and Venovski checks.  The other player bets 1,125 and Venovski calls.  The river brings the [9s] and Venovski checks again.  His opponent bets 2,650 and Venovski thinks a bit before calling.

The other player shows [AsQs] for two pair that turned into the nut flush on the river and Venovski mucks.
