All Things Barry and a Little Bit of Joe

– Barry Greenstein and former girlfriend Mimi Tran are seated at the same table. It’s well known that when they met, Barry taught Mimi poker and Mimi taught him Vietnamese. They’re still extremely close, like family.

– A major chip despute came up earlier when a dealer lost track of the size of main and side pots. a dozen voices were all chirping in simultaneously when Barry asked for silence. It was granted by all involved as he explained the action and got the room to agree on his version of things. We call that respect.

– Barry is one of three players left in the field of fifty-seven who made the final table last year, along with Mike Simon and Greg Mueller.

– I didn’t list Joe Pelton in ‘Who’s Where’ today because I didn’t recognize any of the other players at the table. I wanted to mention that because Joe wrote in his blog the where he sits today will have a major bearing on his tournament. If my lack of recognition means anything, it’s probably very, very good.

Gotta say by the way, I think its pretty cool that guys like Joe are willing to spend their break time working on their blogs. You should learn a lot.
