Anas Tadini in Action in Marrakech

Most players that have already visited Morocco to play poker may have heard of, or played against, Anas Tadini. He is a very particular and very easy to spot player, always shows plenty of emotions when he gets involved in the action and tends to fire not just once in order to run up a stack.

Tadini has more than $600,000 in cashes with a six-figure score as best result and can regularly be found at or near the final tables if there is a big event taking place at the Casino de Marrakech Es Saadi. Last night was no different, as he spun up a short stack close to the money in the 20,000 MAD High Roller and even reached the final nine only to bow out in that very same spot.

Early in level three of the WPTDeepStacks Marrakech Season 2018-2019 13,200 MAD Main Event, Tadini walked into the tournament area with a ticket in the hand and it didn’t take long for him to ensure that everybody at his table knew who they will have to deal with.

The inevital big clash was bound to happen and it was Frederic Delval ended up getting almost all of Tadini’s chips. A preflop raising war saw both players invest 16,000 chips and Tadini jammed the king-high flop with ace-ten and a gutshot only. Delval had flopped middle set with pocket jacks and turned a full house to leave Tadini with 1,000.

“Hey, I never run good on the first entry anyways,” grinned Tadini when all was done and dusted. What happens next? Surely, the short stack is going in again soon after and it is Delval who tries to finish the job after limping in. Tadini jams for 2,200 and Delval calls.

The board comes and sure enough Tadini improves to a straight on the river.

“Let’s get this party started, we are back,” he jokes in French. Whether or not he will run up the stack in the first attempt or do so again on the next bullet at another table remains to be seen. Tadini will certainly be one player to watch in this event, and he can also be heard from just outside of the Es Saadi poker room.
