Andreas Klatt Eliminated from WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam

May 7, 2017

Andreas Klatt

After his victory in the PokerStars National Championship and a runner-up finish in the Main Event in Monte Carlo, Andreas Klatt is in prime position at the top of the MonteDam Swing Leaderboard. However, he wasn’t counting his chickens at the start of the day, when he approached us to ask who else from Monte Carlo was still in the WPTDeepStacks Amsterdam field. After all, he had a lead to maintain!

However, Klatt won’t be making a deep run in yet another tournament after he was eliminated at the hands of Josep Maria Galindo.

Galindo raised pre-flop from the button and Klatt called in the blinds. The flop was Diamond AHeart 8Spade A and Klatt check-called a bet from his opponent. The turn was the Heart 5 and Klatt check-called another bet from Galindo.

The river was another five, the Spade 5 and Klatt checked to his opponent who moved all in. The German had just 13 big blinds left and took his time with his decision.

“Have you come to watch me bust?” Klatt asked us. He thought for a while longer before calling.Galindo turned over Diamond KSpade K and Klatt shook his head before showing Heart JSpade 8.

“I knew you didn’t have an Ace,” he said to Galindo as he gathered his things and headed to the rail. No doubt he will be back later in the week for a shot at the WPT Main Event.
