2011 Andrew Lichtenberger Doubles Thru Randy Dorfman
Photo: Randy Dorfman (far left) and Andrew Lichtenberger (far right) watch the dealer put out the river card. Brent Sheirbon (center, right) will be involved in the next hand, as you’ll read in the next post.

With over 150,000 already in the pot and the board reading [As9s6d], Andrew Lichtenberger moves all-in from the big blind for 73,600 and Randy Dorfman calls on the button. Dorfman has Lichtenberger covered by around 25,000.

The two players then have to wait with their cards down a couple of minutes as two other possible all-ins play out on other tables.  Both of the hands result in folds and Dorfman and Lichtenberger turn up their cards.

Lichtenberger holds [Ad6h] for two pair. Dorfman has [Ah10d] for a pair of aces.  Dorfman picks up some additional outs with the [7c] on the turn, as he can now hit any seven, eight, nine, or ten to take the pot.

The river is the [5h] and Lichtenberger’s aces up give him the big double up on the money bubble.

Andrew Lichtenberger – 335,000 (112 BBs)
Randy Dorfman – 23,000 (8 BBs)
