8911 Andrew Weisner Eliminated in 9th

On a flop of [8c7d4s], Alan Sternberg checks, Andrew Weisner bets 100,000, and Sternberg calls. The turn is the [Qd], and Sternberg checks again. Weisner bets 200,000 and Sternberg raises to 475,000.

Weisner cuts out the 275,000 that it will take to call and goes into the tank. After several moments of thought he announces that he’s all-in for 1,236,000. Sternberg quckly calls and shows [QcQh] for a turned set and Weisner is drawing dead with [8h7h] (two pair).

The meaningless river is the [6s], Weisner is eliminated in 9th place, and Sternberg moves up to second in chips after winning the largest pot of the tournament thus far.
