Andy Frankenberger Holds to Eliminate Chris McClung

WPT Season 9 Player of the Year Andy Frankenberger opens for 2,000 from the cutoff and Gary Lucci calls from the button. Osman Soubra comes along from the small blind, Chris McClung does the same from the big, and four players watch the flop come down .

Two checks saw Frankenberger continue for 7,000, Lucci calls, and Soubra folds. McClung then springs to life with an all-in check-raise to right around 20,000 and Frankenberger isolates by moving all in over the top.

Frankenberger is best with nines, but McClung is drawing live to an open-ended straight draw. Much to Frankenberger’s delight, he held as the  hit the turn followed by the  on the river.
