Ankush Mandavia Doubles Thru Jermaine Gerlin

Oct 16, 2016

With the board showing Diamond JClub 8Club 6Heart 10 on the turn, Jermaine Gerlin bets 25,000 from the big blind, and Ankush Mandavia moves all in under the gun for 37,000. Mario Oliveira thinks for a bit before he folds.

Gerlin calls with Heart QClub Q for an overpair with a gutshot straight draw, and Mandavia turns over Spade 8Diamond 8 for a set of eights, and he needs it to hold to stay alive. (Oliveira claims he folded pocket nines for an open-ended straight draw.)

The river card pairs the board with the Spade 10, and Mandavia wins the pot with a full house to double up in chips.

Ankush Mandavia  –  110,000  (55 bb)
