With the final board showing [10d7d7hAsAh] and a little more than 26,000 in the pot, WPT Jacksonville final tablist Artie Rodriguez bets 15,000 from early position.
Rodriguez’s opponent in middle position thinks for a while before he says, "You really have ace-eight of diamonds?" Rodriguez quickly responds, "There’s no flush draw out there."
His opponent thinks for a little while longer before he calls, and Rodriguez shows his cards to prove that he doesn’t have ace-eight of diamonds.
He has [AdQd].
Rodriguez flopped an ace-high flush draw, but caught running aces for a full house to win the pot. His opponent mucks without showing.
Artie Rodriguez – 80,000
Earlier this season, Rodriguez earned his entry into WPT Jacksonville online at ClubWPT.com, and then played his way to the final table, finishing fifth to earn more than $55,000.
