Atzlan Gil Takes The Chip Lead

Atzlan Gil has taken over the chip lead midway through level eight. He now has 150,000 chips courtesy of the following hand.

We join the action on a flop of [Kd] [Th] [4h] and Gil has bet 2,400. Sakis Nicolau is the other player in the hand and he raises to 10,000. Back to Gil who announces he is all-in and after a few moments Nicolau makes the call. You could tell by the speed that Gil turned over his cards that he was sitting on a monster.

Nicolau: [Kc] [Jc]

So Nicolau was in a deep hole and the [4d] and [Qs] did not provide him the ladders he needed to climb out. Nicolau was gone and Gil moved up to 150,000.
