Aubin Cazals Eliminated by Fabrice Musset

Nov 29, 2012

Guillaume Darcourt opens the cut off for 3,800 and Giacomo Fundaro calls on the button.

"Tapis," says Aubin Cazals from the small blind.

Fabrice Musset is seated in the big blind and he also moves all-in.

"Wow…wow…wow," says Darcourt, who gets to his feet and takes off his shades.

He asks for a count and both players have around 27,000 in front of them. Darcourt folds, Fundaro folds and we have a showdown…or do we!

The dealer starts to send out the flop, turn and river when Fundaro stops her and says he has not folded his hand. Everyone at the table – media included – are certain he did, but there is a hand in front of him. Is this guy David Copperfield?

The floor is called and Fundaro gives an elaborate demonstration of how he looks at his cards. Everyone is up in arms, especially Fabrice Soulier. The hand is eventually declared dead because both Cazals [3h] [3d] and Musset [Ah] [Qs] have their cards on their backs. Was he angle shooting? We will let you decide.

Board: [Qc] [7d] [6d] [6c] [7c]

So the upshot is this. Cazals is out, Musset has 70,000 and Fundaro must have skin thicker than a rhino, because as all the players are waving their hands and gesticulating, and he just sits there with a smile on his face.
