Behm and Palumbo Go Nuts

Mar 27, 2013

Steve Behm

There are many ways to win a pot, but this is one of the more unsual ones that you will find in this season of WPT events.

Rocco Palumbo opens in the hijack and his old nemesis Steve Behm flats on the button.

Flop: [Kh] [Jd] [9h]

Palumbo fires out a quick 5,500 c-bet and Behm moves all-in for 150,000!

Palumbo, and the rest of the table, look stunned. He peeks at his cards and Behm says, ‘don’t look at your cards…you know you’re folding."

Palumbo calls instantly and we have a showdown of chip leading proportions.

Showdown

Behm: [Qc] [Th]
Palumbo: [Kd] [Jc]

Behm has flopped the nuts and bold as brass Palumbo has called with top two pair. The turn [6d], and river [2h], complete the action and Behm becomes our new chip leader with over 300,000 chips.

To celebrate his success, Behm hands the dealer €100 as a tip.

Behm ~ 320,000
Palumbo ~ 60,000
