We’re not sure what surprises us more. The fact that Ben Carpenter is out, or the fact that he is actually drinking tea!
Carpenter told us that he was holding [Kc] [Qx] against a player who he believed wasn’t ready to play with the big boys so to speak. The flop was [Qc] [Qx] [4c], Carpenters opponent bet big and he just flatted. The turn was the [8c] and the same action ensued. The river was the [9c] and with only 8,000 behind Carpenter called the all-in from his opponent with the king-high flush, only to be shown the straight flush: [Jc] [Tc].
Earl Grey anyone?
