Betty Perkins is chatting with WPT Royal Flush Crewmember Ivy Teves in between hands, and when another player at the table asks why Perkins is receiving special treatment, Ivy says she’s giving her good luck. Perkins asks Ivy to touch her shoulders to officially transfer the luck, and Ivy obliges.
The cards are dealt out for the next hand, and Perkins limps from middle position for 600. The hijack also limps, the small blind completes, and the big blind checks his option.
The flop comes , the blinds check, and Perkins moves all in for about 10,000. Everyone else folds, and Perkins gives Ivy a high five as she takes the pot.

The flop comes , giving Perkins a huge lead with a set of nines. The turn card is the , which clinches the hand for Perkins, who turns to celebrate with Ivy.
The meaningless river card pairs the board with the , giving Perkins a full house, nines full of sixes. But since her back is turned, WPT Champions Club member James Calderaro decides to tease Perkins by saying, “Oh no, he made a straight!”
Perkins quickly jerks back around to look at the board, and it takes her a moment to realize that Calderaro is joking. (Calderaro has been in a great mood and joking with the table most of the day.) Perkins smiles as she pulls in the pot for the double-up, and gets a congratulatory hug from Ivy.
