Birlean Runs a Huge Bluff

Bodo Sbrzensy starts the betting by raising to 4,800 from the cutoff. Next to act is Paul Berende on the button and he calls. The small blinds gets out of the way but Gabriel Birlean decides to mix things up and he raises to 20,000. Sbrzensy calls but Berende quickly folds.

The flop comes down [2s][7h][7d] and both players check. The [6d] on the turn sees Birlean lead for 22,000 and Sbrzensy call in an instant. The [8d] river slows Birlean down for around 45-seconds before he springs into action with an all-in bet of 99,000. Sbrzensy looks rocked by this large bet and he lets out an awkward smile before biting the tassel of his white hoodie. A short time passes and Sbrzensy folds.
