Brad Owen Eliminated in 119th Place by Roman Korenev

After starting the day with a short stack and battling throughout the day to get himself into contention, WPT Ambassador Brad Owen has just been eliminated in ugly fashion by Roman Korenev.

After Korenev opens to 30,000 in early position, Owen shoves for 290,000 from the small blind. Koronev calls and what could have been a dream situation for Owen is a nightmare instead.

The flop comes , giving Korenev trip aces to leave Owen drawing even thinner to survive.

The falls on the turn to needle Owen, giving him trips of his own and leaving him with just one out.

It doesn’t come on the river as the dealer instead places the on the board sealing Owen’s fate in 119th place for $7,000.
