Matt Glantz raises to 6,000 from middle position and Brent Sheirbon reraises all-in for 37,600 on the button. John Krpan is in the big blind and reraises all-in for 93,000.
Glantz faces a decision and thinks a minute bfore telling the table, "I have ace-queen." He takes another second, then adds, "I relinquish." He turns over [AdQh] as he folds.
Glantz asks Krpan if he has queens and Krpan nods. Neither he or Sheirbon turn over their hands as they wait for the other hands to play out. Someone else at the table tells Krpan they folded the case queen.
Sheirbon hopefully asks, "Did anybody fold a jack?"
The hands at the other tables all conclude and Krpan and Sheirbon turn up their holdings. Krpan shows [QdQc] and Sheirbon has [JdJs].
The dealer puts out a flop of [10c7h5d], but the players at the table notice she forgot to burn. The [7d] was the top card on the deck, so Tournament Director Jack McClelland rules that the seven is the burn card. The dealer replaces the seven with the [5s]. The [8d] on the turn changes nothing, and with the [6h] on the river, Brent Sheirbon is eliminated on the exact bubble.
The remaining 100 players are now guaranteed a payday of at least $11,942.
John Krpan – 150,000 (50 BBs)
