Bryan Paris Praises WPTDeepStacks Structure

Bryan Paris played the WPTDeepStacks event yesterday, unfortunately being eliminated shortly before the money, but says that the experience was a good one.

“It went really well. It’s definitely a fun tournament. It has such a good structure, better than all of the other tournaments I’ve played recently.

“It’s nice to play a tournament where you have some room for manoeuvres. It’s not like you play one hand and suddenly you’re really short.”

Paris currently sits on just above starting stack in the Main Event, but says that it’s still quite early.

“It’s really nice to play here, it’s like five minutes away bike ride from where I live. I play here twice a year for the WPT and then the Master Classics of Poker; it’s so close, it’s a really great venue.

“The cash games are really good. All the local players come out for those two big tournaments.”

He says he doesn’t plan to play much at the World Series this summer, besides the Main Event, choosing to prioritise online play instead.

“I think it’s better to take advantage of streaming online while the other players are at the Series.

“Through May and June I’m going to be streaming, and then go and play the Main Event.”
