Twitch Poker streamer Bryan Paris lives here in Amsterdam, and played last year’s WPTDS Amsterdam Main Event. Today he’s swapped the online felt for the live one, and has jumped into Day 1a of the WPTDS Amsterdam Main Event.
“I’m good,” he said when we asked him how things were, “Second child on the way; a girl this time – one of each!”
When we spoke to Paris last year he said that he only plays at Holland Casino Amsterdam twice a year – once for the WPT and the other for the Master Classics. The rest of the year is spent playing poker online for his audience on Twitch.
“I’ve been twitching a lot! It’s going well. It’s fun, but the next couple of months I’m going to more live events. I’ve got this and then Monte Carlo.
“Twitch is still going great though. It’s great for poker because it means that Americans can live vicariously through streamers. I think it gives poker to the world. It’s huge for the US market, especially as they try and re-legalize online poker.”
