California Split

We may be on the East Coast, but there are a couple of players in today’s Day 1B field with ties to the Sunshine State.

Andrew Frankenberger is a New Yorker, but he rose to WPT prominence last month in Los Angeles when he won the Season IX Legends of Poker Main Event.  Frankenberger earned $750,000 for the win and is looking to repeat the feat here in Atlantic City.

2007 WSOP Main Event winner Jerry Yang normally doesn’t venture outside of California and Nevada for poker tournaments, but he is present in the field as well.  

If you want a little dose of Hollywood, actor and poker enthusiast James Woods is also playing today.
