Carlos Mortensen vs. Jamie Brown

Mar 1, 2010

In the last hand of the day, Carlos Mortensen clashed in a big pot with Jamie Brown. The other two tables wrapped up their action early in this hand, and a big crowd gathered around this table.

We caught the action on the turn with the board showing [KhQh8d9c]. Brown was the preflop raiser from the small blind, and he also bet the flop — Mortensen called both times. On the turn, Brown bet 85,000, and Mortensen called.

The river card is the [6d], and Brown moves all in for 261,000. Mortensen asks, "Why didn’t you move all in on the flop?" Mortensen tanks for more than five minutes, alternatively looking like he’s about to call and about to fold.

Eventually, Mortensen says, "Tomorrow, I’ll get you," and he folds. Jamie Brown takes the pot.

Jamie Brown  –  532,000
Carlos Mortensen  –  1,670,000
