Charlie Hook Doubles Through Andrew Frankenberger

Aug 23, 2010

After a flop of [Kc6c6d], Charlie Hook is all in from the small blind for 245,000 with [Qs6h] (trip sixes) against Andrew Frankenberger’s [Kh4h] (two pair, kings and sixes) in the big blind. Frankenberger needs to catch a king to bust Hook here.

The turn is the [Js], the river is the [8h], and Hook wins the pot with his trip sixes to double up.

As the dealer pushes the pot, Darryll Fish says, "I was waiting to see your reaction if you ran into another bad beat." Hook says, "If that would’ve happened, I would’ve walked back to Philly."
Charlie Hook  –  540,000  (67 bb)
