Chip-Leader Sebastian Malec on Running Good

May 12, 2017

Sebastian Malec looked calm, although occasionally looking across at the tournameet clock, as if itching to get back playing.

The young Polish player burst onto the scene last year winning the last EPT Barcelona for over €1m.

“Even in Barcelona, I can’t remember running so well,” said Malec, referring to his run of eliminations shortly before the break. He knocked out Brandon Mifsud, Fatih Aydin and Claire Renaut in consecutive bustouts to grab the chip-lead away from the likes of Louis Salter and Shyngis Satubayev.

“Amsterdam is one of the stops, like Barcelona, where I really get to enjoy the city while I’m here.”
