Only 50 players out of the original 1,457 remain in the ClubWPT Gold $5M Invitational Freeroll with a shot at the $1,000,000 first-place prize.

It was described as one of the most “audacious” days in World Poker Tour history as months worth of hype came to fruition on Friday when the ClubWPT Gold $5M Invitational Freeroll kicked off in the Encore Ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas.

Of the 2,000 Golden Passports given away, 1,457 players piled into their seats ready to get to the business of trying to claim a piece of the largest freeroll in poker history. And now just 50 players remain, all set to return for Day 2 where they will play down to a final table and potentially lock up a seat to compete for the $1 million first-place prize.
