ClubWPT Qualifier Steve Burns Makes Day 2

Steve Burns (pictured here on Day 2) earned his entry into this event by playing on ClubWPT.com, where he outlasted a large-field online tournament to earn his way into an actual live World Poker Tour event where he would be playing against some of the best players in the world.

Today, Burns shares a table with 2006 WSOP Player of the Year Jeff Madsen (who final tabled the WPT Legends of Poker last year), Dan Heimiller, David Randall, and Tyler Cornell.

There are currently about 185 players left in the tournament, and the final 72 will finish in the money. There’s a chance that the field will reach the money tonight, but that remains to be seen.

A min-cash in this event is worth $7,050, which is a nice return for someone like Burns, who won his entry on ClubWPT.com. Burns currently has about 75,000 in chips (37 big blinds).
