ClubWPT Qualifier Steve Burns Plays With the Pros

Steve Burns (pictured here on Day 2) earned his entry into this event by playing on ClubWPT.com, where he outlasted a large-field online tournament to earn his way into an actual live World Poker Tour event where he would be playing against some of the best players in the world.

Earlier today, Burns (far left) shared a table with Phil Laak (top right), Dan Heimiller (far right), and Season X WPT Player of the Year Joe Serock (bottom right). And while the player sitting between Burns and Laak may not be recognizable to most poker fans, it’s actually Tom Lee — who reached not one, but two WPT Final Tables here at the Legends of Poker, finishing sixth in 2004 and third in 2010.

Unfortunately, Burns wasn’t able to reach the money, but he did have a unique experience in his first-ever WPT event playing against some of the top players in the world.
