The WPT L.A. Poker Classic will once again have a cool million bucks for the winner as well as a $15,000 buy-in to the Tournament of Champions presented by Baccarat Crystal. That $1 million comes this year after the Commerce Casino kicked in $75,000 to first place and with minimal adjustment to the payouts.
Casino management agreed to add some to the prize pool to keep the top payout at seven figures.
“This event has always had a million for first,” WPT executive tour director Matt Savage said.
The Commerce has now assured that, and that $1 million isn’t inclusive of the TOC buy-in. Just like Season XVII LAPC champion David ODB Baker, this year’s winner is guaranteed seven figures.
