Darren Elias Doubles Thru Duff Charette; Charette Eliminated in 103rd Place by Bin Weng

Photo:  Duff Charette lost two heartbreakers in the span of three hands to find himself out of the tournament.

Duff Charette tells us that he lost a big pot a couple of hands ago when his pocket kings got cracked by the of Darren Elias, who made a diamond flush.

Elias doubled up to 670,000, while Charette dropped down to 165,000. And that brings us back to the present.

Bin Weng raises from middle position to 30,000, Adam Weinraub calls from the hijack, and Charette moves all in from the cutoff for 165,000. Weng moves all in over the top for more than 3 million, and Weinraub folds.

Charette turns over , and needs it to hold to stay alive against Weng’s .

The board comes — Charette pairs his king on the flop, but Weng pairs his nine on the turn and rivers trips. Weng wins the pot to eliminate Charette in 103rd place.
