Keven Stammen enters the pot from the button, and Christopher Bonita moves all in from the big blind for 131,000 more. Stammen tanks for a while before he folds [AsJc] face up.
Bonita pushes his two cards toward Stammen and says he can look at one card. Stammen slides the two cards back and forth, and another player says, "Not the ace. Not the ace," assuming that Bonita had ace-something and was curious about who had the better kicker.
Stammen turns over the [8h] — at worst he was racing against pocket eights, and at best, he dominated ace-eight.
Christopher Bonita – 160,000 (20 bb)
The next hand, Dave Inselberg moves all in from the button, but gets no callers.
The next hand, Keven Stammen raises from late position to 21,000, and Inselberg moves all in from the cutoff for 84,000. Stammen tanks for a while and says, "I definitely have the worst hand." Inselberg says, "That’s good."
Inselberg than says that he’ll show Stammen both cards if he folds, and Stammen says, "I know. I just feel good about this one." Hearing that, Inselberg says, "Looks like I’m going all in against ten-jack." Stammen says, "Jack is definitely one of them."
Stammen finally says, "Sorry, bro," and calls with [Jd8d]. Inselberg shows [7c7d], and it’s a race situation.
The board comes [10h6d3c2dKh], and Inselberg, who couldn’t bear to watch, asks, "Did I make it?" Inselberg checks the board, and his pocket sevens held up to win the pot, doubling his chip stack.
Dave Inselberg – 187,000 (23 bb)
Keven Stammen – 190,000 (23 bb)
