David Brownworth's Solid Start

ClubWPT.com qualifier David Brownworth is actually not a stranger to the poker spotlight.  Thanks to his play on ClubWPT, Brownworth already won a seat on Season I of ClubWPT.com on FSN and won the televised sit-n-go.  Now Brownworth is back in front of the cameras, this time as a competitor in the WPT World Championship field.

Brownworth is already chipping up here in the Fontana Lounge.  On a flop of [10c9c2h], the player in the small blind checks and Brownworth bets 1,200 from early position.  The small blind check-raises, making it 2,400 to play, and Brownworth calls.

The turn brings the [Kc] and the player in the small blind bets 2,000.  Brownworth calls and they both check when the [6c] on the river puts four clubs on the board. Brownworth shows [AdKs] for a pair of kings, the other player mucks, and Brownworth takes the pot.
