We have lost the WPT Champions Club member Davidi Kitai. In truth, the Belgian Triple Crown winner never got started today. This is what we have managed to piece together by talking to the French press.
There are three players in the pot and Kitai has called on the cutoff. The flop is [8x] [5x] [3x] (rainbow) and the original raiser bets and both Kitai and the third player in the hand calls. The turn is the [Ts] (puts a flush draw on board). There is a bet, a call from Kitai and then a shove for around 11,600. One player folds and Kitai tank-calls with ace-jack. The player who shoved was Konstantin Danilov and he is holding [7s] [6s] for the draw. A great call by Kitai, but the [7x] hit the river to send him home.
