Day 1A Concludes with Ashraf Chehata Leading

Day 1A of the Season XVIII WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble has come to a conclusion with the 154-entrant field reduced down to approximately 50 players.

Ashraf Chehata (pictured) finished the day as chip leader with 359,500 on the back of two bestbet bounty eliminations; Ray Qartomy and Kitty Kuo. Sitting behind Chehata is Tan Nguyen, WPT Champions Club member Brian Altman, Joey Couden, Mike Sowers, and Alex Foxen.

Some of the players also surviving Day 1A include WPT Champions members Aaron Van Blarcum, Mike Sexton, Frank Stepuchin, Anthony Zinno, Marvin Rettenmaier, and defending champion Tony Tran. Sexton, Stepuchin, Zinno, Rettenmaier, Loni Harwood, Byron Kaverman, Ari Engel, and Jake Schwartz are also the only bestbet bounties to survive into Day 2.
