Day 1A Ends With 90 Players and Manuel Reyes Leading

Aug 21, 2010

The hands have been dealt, the chips have been bagged and Day 1A of the Legends of Poker is in the books.  The day began with 186 runners giving their all in the $5,000 buy-in event and, after six levels of play, only 90 remained to return for Day 2 play on Sunday.

Manuel Reyes is the overwhelming Day 1A chip leader and he is the only player who ended the day with over 200,000.  Eight other players finished with over 100,000 chips, including former WPT winners Barry Greenstein and McLean Karr, as well as former WPT final tablists and brothers Tim Phan and Raymond Dolan.  The young Dolan has the best of his big brother for the moment, ending Day 1A with 165,500 chips to Phan’s 110,700.

Here are the official top 10 chip counts from the end of Day 1A:

1. Manuel Reyes – 205,350
2. Raymond Dolan – 165,500
