Following ten hours of play that saw 696 entries take their first steps toward WPT glory here at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, 238 players have found a bag, led by WPT Champions Club member Frank Stepuchin.
For bagging up the day’s biggest stack, Frank “the Tank” wins an added bonus of a Golden Passport into the ClubWPT Gold $5,000,000 freeroll next month at Wynn Las Vegas.
Stepuchin managed to hold off several other players with comparably large stacks who created an unofficial end-of-night top five as follows:
Frank Stepuchin – 394,000 (157 bb)
William Lamar-Boone – 391,000 (156 bb)
Jesse Lonis – 390,500 (156 bb)
Kevin Schulz – 388,500 (155 bb)
Gregory Back – 364,500 (145 bb)
The second of two opening flights takes place Saturday at 11 a.m. ET with another ten levels of play scheduled and the WPT live reporting team will be there for all the action.
