Day 1B Ends with Guy Smith Leading the Surviving 358 Players

Day 1B of the WPT Borgata Poker Open comes to an end with about 358 survivors from a field of 682 entries, and Guy Smith (pictured) leads the pack with 210,800 (211 big blinds).

There are 489 players who survived the two starting flights, and are now heading into Day 2. The total field size is up to 965, but registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 11 (around 2:15 pm tomorrow).

The official chip counts and seating assignments for Day 2 won’t be released by the casino until the morning. In the meantime, here is an unofficial leaderboard for the end of Day 1B:

2.  George Cicak  –  177,600  (178 bb)
3.  Jae Hwang  –  176,200  (176 bb)
4.  Carmine Tirone  –  171,000  (171 bb)
5.  Benjamin Morgan  –  163,000  (163 bb)

This is a best-stack-forward re-entry event, and players are allowed unlimited re-entries until registration closes at the start of Level 11 (about 2:15 pm on Day 2).
