Day 1B of the WPT Legends of Poker comes to an end with 62 survivors from a field of 177 entries, and Valentin Vornicu (pictured) leads the pack with 286,700 (238 big blinds).

The official chip counts should be released by the casino later tonight, and as soon as that happens we will update the information here. In the meantime, here is an unofficial leaderboard for the end of Day 1B:

1.  Valentin Vornicu  –  286,700  (238 bb)
2.  Adam Geyer  –  273,000  (228 bb)
3.  Peter Neff  –  266,100  (222 bb)
4.  Igor Zektser  –  198,700  (166 bb)
5.  Tuan Mai  –  179,400  (150 bb)
6.  Jamie Armstrong  –  164,900  (137 bb)
7.  Bill Germanis  –  152,100  (127 bb)

Today was the second of three starting flights, and players are allowed two entries per starting flight, plus one entry before the start of Day 2 on Monday (maximum seven entries per player). After the first two flights, there are 119 players who have survived to Day 2 from a total field of 332.

It appears that only one player — Gaurav Raina — bagged up both days, with 9,300 on Day 1A and 146,600 on Day 1B. This is a best-stack-forward event, so Raina will forfeit his short stack and take his larger stack to Day 2.

Day 1C begins tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:00 noon PDT. Return to WPT.com for continuing live coverage of the WPT Legends of Poker.
