Day 1B of the WPT World Championship Kicks Off at 11 AM

A total of 751 players came out to play yesterday’s flight of the WPT World Championship, which saw 252 players in that flight advance. An uptick as far as player numbers from last year’s 606 in the first flight. 

Leading the way are Phillip Lee 1,102,000 and Fabian Gumz 1,013,000. Also surviving the end of the first day were 2023 WPT Prime Champion Calvin Anderson with 721,000 and defending champion Dan Sepiol 258,000.

Players will begin the tournament with 100,000 in chips. Blinds will begin at 300/500 with a 500 big blind ante. Blinds will last one hour each with the first 15-minute break occurring at the conclusion of Level 3 and then breaks will be every 2 levels afterward. Players will go on a 75-minute dinner break at the conclusion of Level 7, after which players will play until the conclusion of Level 11 before bagging up for the day, set to return on Tuesday, December 17th. 

This is also a one-entry per flight event, so the maximum a player can enter is three (3) times over the three starting flights.
