The second of three opening flights for the WPT Montreal Championship in the World Poker Tour’s return to Playground gets underway toiday at 11:00 a.m. local time.
Players will start with 50,000 chips and the blinds at 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Levels will be one hour in length and the plan is to play ten levels before bagging at the end of the night. A 15-minute break is scheduled after every two levels with a 45-minute dinner break after Level 6, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Play will conclude at approximately 11:00 p.m.
Giuseppe Corapi bagged the Day 1a chip lead in yesterday’s starting flight, finishing with 401,000. That flight attracted 143 entrants – a number that will grow significantly with two more starting flights still to go. Of those 143 entrants, 44 players managed to find a bag and advance to Day 2, which takes place Sunday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m.
